CALTEX – She’s Mint, That’s For Sure…
While that’s all good and we’re not ones to complain, it’s not what the competition’s all about. When we said to “check her out”, we actually meant the car, not the girls. However, if you insist, feel free to send those pictures on over our way while you’re at it…
Anyway, back to the competition at hand. Caltex are running the My Minter promotion to find the country’s most immaculate car. Thousands upon thousands of New Zealanders have been putting their minters into the running over the last couple of months.
To put your car in the running, you have to be the registered owner of the car and it must also hold a current New Zealand registration. Once you’ve ticked these boxes, you’ll need to know which one of the four different categories you’re entering into.
These are:
- The Classic Minter – A car that was either registered or launched here pre-1980
- The Contemporary Minter – A car that was first registered or let loose on our roads from the year 1980 onwards
- The Modified Minter – A car that has seen a couple of improvements or modifications over the stacker
- Her Minter – A category for the lasses only, I’m afraid boys
Remember folks, this competition is all about the car. So, if you’re a hottie, or have a hot missus and are entering a female beside a car, it sadly won’t be eligible for entry. By the time you get your little feelers on these pages, pre-entries will have been open since September 18 and will close on November 17.
Voting’s already well and truly underway, but there’s still plenty of time for you to get your vote in. The winner of the best minter will be notified on December 11, 2006. Voting is simple: all you need to do is log on to www.myminter.co.nz and follow the easy steps. You can vote for as many cars as you want, but only once for each minter. To walk away with the Caltex My Minter title, you need to be judged by the kind New Zealand public as being the best on offer.
Not only do the best in each category receive the fast women, fame and glory associated with this prestigious recognition, they’ll also receive $2500 to spend on Caltex fuel or anything else from Caltex service stations and Star Mart convenience stores nationwide. The overall winner will also receive $2500 to spend in the same places and the title of the best overall minter in the country. The top car club receives $5000 towards a club function, complete with a guest speaker. Right, get to it!
